I mean, yes. I think we can all see in retrospect that Peters lost the room and never got it back, so there's other factors at play that just the acts themselves. Based on my own experience I would say that a coach who would lose control and lash out physically at a player is simply not the kind of coach who is going to do the kind of job you need with a young, developing roster.There are different levels of kicking and punching. Some would warrant firing some would not.
I think he created a toxic environment in general and I’m glad he’s gone. Funny how we were belittled for not being able to keep such a “great coach”.
And this is just yet another object lesson in the basic fact that the hockey media at large doesn't know its butt from a hole in the ground. Carolina was supposedly stupid and cheap to hire Brind'Amour, and disrespectful to fire Francis, and borderline insane to let a coach like Peters walk. Yeah ... how's that all looking now?
