I agree, I wouldn't mind trading one of the other for a young RHD. Something like a Domi+ for Dumba type trade would be great, not that I think it would happen. Not the biggest fan of Drouin either.
 
Watching a smart player like Suzuki makes me upset to see talented guys like Domi and Drouin make the same mistakes over and over.

Watching a team like Columbus lose a top 3 goalie (Bob) and and top 10 player (Panarin) but still compete is also upsetting, while we still try to push a square peg into a round hole

Wasn't that our system under Martin, partially under Therrien, and isn't Julien known as a very defensive coach also ?

He used to, until he changed his approach 2 years ago to generate more offense, now we're pretty much run and gunning now with the defensemen aggressively engaging in the offense. We're one of the team in the league that generates the most chances to score, but unfortunately we don't have the players to convert those chances. The flip side is that we are also allowing more scoring chances against, and a lot of odd men rushes. It doesn't help our goalies.

It looks good on Corsi but hasn't generated much positive results otherwise.

That the drop in Price performance happened at the same time as the coaching change might be coincidental, or not.

I like the new system better. We don't have the snipers (yet) but you can't play the old way just to pad the Goals Against stats.

The new system is more entertaining I agree, and is better adjusted for the new reality but it's not producing results, yet. I think we would have been able to squeeze a few more wins by playing ultra defensively.

I'm ok with that as well. Promoting skills is good, but I feel Julien still have his old habits when it comes with the young players and while the system should be suiting their development, he over-shelters them.
