OT - To Catch A Thief

I like the condo I live in....building is only 8 floors. And I have a big deck with a natural gas BBQ. And no awkward elevator chat..ever.

We don't all have big day trader money

Honestly, my rent is not higher than the previous condo I lived in. Just got lucky...though my gf and I did see a gazillion places before we settled on this one.

Mine is only four floors. New construction around 8 years ago. The original 16 of us was a great group. Probably half were pretty social and happy to run into each other in the building (one even was a fantastic fling). There was just one evil monster cat lady who made everyone's life miserable but thankfully she left a few years ago. Over the years several of the others left too, and now the residents are all strangers for the most part and have nothing to do with each other, and there's turnover in the units that got rented out so there's a revolving door of people who are here for a year or less before you even get to know who they are, and then there are new faces that abruptly replace them, like this current psycho.

Condo living is fantastic for a single guy who doesn't want the headache of maintenance of a house, but apart from just existing in your unit, having to co-exist with a bunch of strangers is very difficult. From the inconsiderate types that play their music too loud at off hours, or take up all the guest spaces in the garage, or walk their nasty dogs through the main entrance 100x a day instead of their private exits and make the place filthy, and just random encounters...it's garbage. Most people just don't understand the concept of shared living and not forcing their shitty habits on the rest of the residents. I've had my fill of it. But the driving force to leave will probably be finally getting married, and for many reasons, the least of which is this, that can't happen soon enough for me.

ya, really - Does anybody find it surprising someone would do this to LoF?

Yeah, I’m not the guy who comes out of posting retirement to lob an insult over at a stranger for no reason.

After all these years of posting here, I’d be more than open to anyone here pointing out an instance where I went after them for no reason, insulted them unprovoked, or acted out of line in any way.

As for the building, I get along with everyone I know in here. I suppose some lunatic who has a problem with everyone in here deciding to vandalize my property says something about me. I think your sympathizing with his behavior says a lot about you though.

Sorry life isn’t going well for you.

you do have a demonstrated history of being extremely thin-skinned...

Ah relax I dunno I don't remember anything anyone says.

Everyone picks on zeke at some point tho.

I don’t much either. But I think I tend to give you more unprovoked compliments than insults actually. Even though you still haven’t shared any info on your career despite multiple requests.
