The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

I still believe a bubble can be done effectivly in certain areas (including toronto). It all depends on the quality and quantity of testing.

You have enough hotels struggling to basically buy them out of rooms for 2 months.
You have anough chefs currently not working or only working part hours to buy 2 months of the year from them.

All comes down to money and willingness to take the necessary steps.

I think the concept itself is probably possible to pull off in countries that took the virus seriously, showed a dedication to testing, contact tracing, mask wearing social distancing etc in the community. If the NHL was an all-Canadian league, I think you could pull it off with a relatively low number of positives.

I'm not sure if it can be done in places where there's ~4,000 new cases daily. You can make the bubble tight but not impenetrable.

Feel pretty good about how Toronto's doing overall and think you're probably right that they could be a host. It's the players, coaches, management, families coming from Dallas, San Jose, LA, Anaheim, and Phoenix that concern me (if it's true Toronto would be hosting the West).

I agree that is a concern. Those teams should be quarentining in home cities and testing daily before they charter here. Then tested when they get here as well. Eurpoean football can figure it out while playing in home stadiums then our leagues should be able to figure out bubbles.

At least the NHL waited before naming their hub cities. Arizona and Florida looked like somewhat viable spots a month ago.
