You can fly across the border at any time (not restricted to essential travel).
Fairly confident that a charter to toronto, bus ride to hotel, 3-5 days of meals and transport back to charter can be done without much impact to anyone else.
No athletes are flying commercial, drinking wine at bellwoods park or jogging on the waterfront.

You know someone's going to sneak out to a bar, or pull a Kessel and infect the hot dog cart guy in front of the stadium. Hope is that that's only a minor issue.

Have a hotel bar for the players and a hotdog guy. Have a movie theater setup fir them as well.
Going to be a tough task keeping players in a bubble unlike other sports . Teams are in and out in 3-4 nights . They can easily slip away for some me time . Teams are travelling from USA and the border
Good luck avoiding a rise in cases if teams keep their home venues with no hub enclosed locations

Yeah, I feel the NHL return to play has a chance, since it's essentially a playoff atmosphere, so most teams are around for a week or two and then they can go. Asking players to essentially quarantine city to city just makes no sense, you're gonna have issues over the course of the season.
It still feels to me like it's only 50/50 that things will actually still start up. The US cases keep rising, as we saw last week with the pre-tryouts, multiple teams got hit. You're getting through this summer camp portion without more players getting infected, and how much is too much?
He had a pretty eloquent post up there. Seems like the virus and all the BLM stuff has gotten to him and got him thinking about his life.

Chicago Cubs left-hander Jose Quintana needed surgery to repair a laceration he suffered washing dishes.
The team said the 31-year-old was injured at his home in Miami, suffering a laceration on his left thumb that required five stitches.
"This morning in Chicago, Quintana underwent microscopic surgery on his left thumb to further determine the extent of his injury," the team said Thursday in a statement. "The procedure identified a lacerated digital sensory nerve in his left thumb, which was surgically repaired."
