Spend it on better players , big time squeeze coming to players , teams are capped out and budgets are slashed

I would of used my cap space to take on salary for picks and prospects

That's why I'm happy Carolina traded Edmundson before they got tempted to re-sign him. He's fine in a depth role, but that's just too much money for that kind of player. Montreal has the room under the Cap to spend $3-4 mil on a 6th D ... I guess.

maybe. All I know is that every time MB makes a useless trade, half this board (occasionally myself) starts speculating that the deal must be the precursor to a bigger move. But that never happens. Will be happy to be proven wrong.
