Well it seems like just yesterday Poehling scored in the shootout in a meaningless less game to end last season. Now we are back and quite fitting we open against Dundon and his flush with cash Hurricanes. Given how Aho apparently used us, maybe Weber can show him why it was not nice to use us...
Always nice to be in a position to start one of these.
As I suspect we are headed for a wildcard, I will not worry about the division. I also do not consider ROW tiebreakers at this time, I worry solely about points.
Right now, we have 71 points with 22 to go. Max Points is 115
Well the season most of us have been dreading is upon us. I am expecting a similar season to last year's disastrous season. Hopefully, we aren't out of it by mid October like last year.
Still, hope springs eternal. The Mole in the top six is exciting to say the least. Needs to say there...

According to DLC and some reporter Tom Lapointe, Drouin badly injured his knee at a summer hockey tournament last weekend.
Not sure how valid the report is, but if true, one more nail in our coffin, but one more way for Bergevin to survive as he can blame the loss of 6 and 92 for the bad season.
We play again tonight, lucky us, at home vs the Red Wings. While we are but a shell of an NHL team, thhe Red Wings are 1-11-1 in their last thirteen according to Luc Gelinas. Gordie Howe Terrible Ted and Sid Abel likely could have won two in that span.
Right now we are sixth from the bottom.
