4 years at $6.4m would be fair...a hit of $1.6 per. I do remember reading he wanted a longterm deal...

If we end up tight against the cap, Laraque seems like the obvious choice to cut. Does he have any kind of NTC/NMC?

Put him on the Long-Term IR for the next two years, stating his back was stolen and hidden away in some parts of China and can't be found.

...That would work, right?

GL and Bob are working on a deal and things are going well, according to RDS...Gui also had a few things about the changes by Bob and what he looks forward to. http://www.radio-canada.ca/sports/ho...os-mardi.shtml

Updated to include Latendresse.

Habs currently have ~$5,103,667 left under the cap including their bonus cushion.

Remaining unsigned RFA: Plekanec, D'Agostini, Stewart

You have to think that D'Agostini and Stewart will be signed cheaply after the Latendresse signing.

I would expect D'Agostini to get about what they're paying Lapierre. Stewart will probably come in at about $500,000. Even if Plekanec gets $2.5M, that still leaves us about $1.5M under the cap.

It feels to me like there's too many guys signed right now. There's 7 defensemen signed (not including Weber or Subban), the forwards are basically set...I feel at least one more shakeup coming.

2.5M? I guess Molsons doesn't mind burning their money. He should get a pay cut.

Assuming Markov misses about 55 games, which is what it is starting to look like, Gainey can use the cap savings. In Markov's case that is ~$3.86M. The Habs had ~ $1.9M in cap space left so Gainey realistically has ~$5.75M (funny that is Markov's actually hit) to go out and get someone. If he moves 46 he would have $9M available. Replacing 46 with someone from Hamilton would run ~$500K so realistically again, Gainey can score a Campbell.

But Campbell is signed to an 8 year deal.

Im sure we could get him for peanuts...or A/Skos. But having gomez and campbell would not be fun.

Another thing. The Habs are getting cap credit for Skos not reporting.
