I didn't want to say this, but if we re-sign Koivu we'll have a solid team. Well that and a big dude up front.

The Habs have $8M left. If they can re-sign Koivu/Kovalev for say $7M I will be ecstatic. If not, Kovalev/Lang for $7M (might be more doable) and I am still happy.

Either works, but if you want the size, Kovalev/Lang is better.

Would you guys be happy if we could get Gaborik for 6 years 42mil? I would be ecstatic to have him for $7 mil a year. It's risky because of his injury problems but damn it would be amazing if when he was healthy.

That starting lineup (first page) really doesn't look threatening at all.

Pac/Gomez/Cammalleri - Should be good for some goals. No size, might get pushed around a bit.

D'Ago/Pleks/A.Kost - Meh. Pleks is terrible so that doesn't help, weak line, no grit.
Metropolit/Lapierre/Latendresse - O.K 3rd line, Metropolit sucks. Gl/ML had good chemistry last year though.

Stewart/Chipchura/BGL - Worst/slowest 4th line in the NHL ? perhaps.

Markov/Gorges - Gorges should be 4/5th dman at best
Spacek/Hamrlik - Dependable, no complaints.
Gill/O'Byrne - My god, atleast they are big?

Lang + Kovalev would be cheaper than Saku + Kovalev.

Plekanec really stick out now. Replace him with a good center (preferably big) to play with the bros and we might have something. Or pray that Maxwell is ready.

Wow! another huge contract.... That only works for me if they take Hamrlik and we somehow sign Beauchemin(SP?)
