Geoff Cameron is leaving Stoke for Werder Bremen. His buyout fee was reported to be $9.5 million. He’ll join fellow Americans Josh Sargent and Aron Johansson at Bremen.

Good for Cameron. IMO he's only got a year or two left at that level and doesn't need to be wasting his twilight in the Championship. There's roughly no chance that Stoke collect their wits quickly enough to bounce straight back.

Re: Spurs transfer activity, it's not the first time that Levy has complicated something ostensibly simple, and it won't be the last. It was made more complicated for Levy (IMO) with the stadium build as a constant distraction. In the end, neither situation turned out well.
