It’s done, here is the breakdown from the Devils press release.

2020-21: $7,000,000, 2021-22: $7,250,000, 2022-23: $4,500,000, 2023-24: $7,750,000, 2024-25: $7,750,000, 2025-26: $8,000,000 & 2026-27: $8,500,000.

Winnipeg beat Edmonton in a shootout this afternoon, giving Paul Maurice 700 wins, only the 7th in history to reach that. With 37 more, he’ll pass Lindy Ruff for 6th, 83 more to pass Al Arbour for 5th. Bowman, Q, Hitchcock and Trotz are the top 4.

Some wag on Twitter pointed out that Maurice could legitimately take a run at Bowman's win total if he stuck with it for another 15 years. Mo is only 52 and would need 36.6 wins per season if he coached until 67 without a break. Given the recycling nature of the NHL, guys coach into their late 60s all the time so it's not that farfetched ... presuming that he's nuts enough not to eventually retire to less stressful work.

He'd need to maintain something close to the pace he's had with the Jets, where he has averaged over 40 wins per year over his five full seasons. Mo just started so young that he's got a shot at longevity records that other guys of his caliber would never sniff. He was the youngest NHL coach to pass 1,000 wins WAY back in 2010 at age 43. IIRC Maurice was the 2nd youngest guy to be a full time NHL coach when he took over the Whalers in 1995.

At that pace, Mo could pass Hitchcock early in the 2022-23 season. He’s also 9 years younger than Q and 5 years younger than Trotz.

Looked like a nasty leg injury for Mikko Rantanen tonight. Not Joe Thiesmann ugly, but pretty ugly. Google it.

In the old days, he would have been banished to the gulag. A coach in the KHL was fined $4,700 for threatening to set a referee’s car on fire.

The Panthers traded minor league dman Ian McCoshen to Chicago for Aleksi Saarela. McCoshen was in Springfield, he’ll join Rockford.

Given the state of the Panthers bottom 6, he could easily get a look-see with them eventually. After he proves at his physical that his head isn't permanently up his butt, of course.
