Around the League 2019-2025 Edition

Not to mention, you know what people do when their team plays in the playoffs?

They gather. Try to stop idiots from gathering in public areas or to watch playoff games in groups together with their team in the mix.

I struggle to understand what the point would even be of carrying on.

Imagine your team wins a championship...with no fans in the building, when it's not safe to get together with your friends in private or public, when it's not safe for people to go out in the streets to celebrate, when you can't hold a championship parade, etc, etc.

Most of the joy would be sucked right out of it.

I was thinking that. Why aren't they televising gaming tournaments? Could be a growth moment for that "sport".

Because television sucks. It's already on twitch. My big thing is why aren't there major tournaments popping up now to entertain captive audiences.

Cancel season.

As a caveat, make this years draft open for everyone.

Give each team (in order of points accumulated) a chance at the number one pick (an opportunity to reward the more successful teams for the elimination of this seasons Stanley cup).

Reward the teams with the most points, by giving them a greater chance at the number one pick.

The placement of the teams are only for the first two rounds.

For the other rounds, priority would go back to the the teams with the least amount of points, as is practiced in usual drafts.

So boston would receive the most opportunities to receive the top pick.

Anyone who owes a first round choice in this years draft (mapleleafs) would be surrendered in next seasons draft.

So every single team gets to participate in this years draft.

Jmho.

P.s. thank you to those whose kind words were greatly appreciated.

Love and peace.

So why should Boston be eligible to get the first overall pick just because we didn’t play the final ten games of season?

This is maybe the worst idea I could possibly imagine.

An unfinished season!
Why reward the bottom teams for a season which didnt end and penalize the teams which did have some success?
No Stanley cup, then why give any team who shit the bed a chance to be rewarded?
Give the teams and fans a chance to get excited about something.
