How good does it feel this morning to say “the Leafs lost to the Zamboni driver playing goal”?
With a season like ours we take in all the joy we can find, and that's a good one.

Something is wrong in that Leafs locker room.
Forget about their defense for a second.....how do you not shoot more than 10 times on Ayres ? Your first two shots went in....Nylander, Marner, Tavares, Matthews, Kapanen.....WTF ?
Even with a shitty defense, injured goalie situation, interim coach....you still should be able to get more than 10 shots !!!!
Something is not right....they will need to sacrifice one of Tavares-Matthews if rumours are true about locker room feuding

the plan went down the drain when they caved-in to Nylander’s demands, then to Matthews’ demands, then Marner....
Matthews can walk in less than 4 years....WTF?????

And signed Tavares. 33.5M in 3 forwards and still can't beat a Zamboni driver.

The rebuild ended that day and created, the cap mess , overpayments , forced trades , and roster juggling for years
They had a solid systemic rebuild in place and it all ended in 10 minutes
No need to get pissed at JT . He was a UFA and took the easy way out .
He is too old to be the top dog and chose to work with elite talent .
Bottom line when you hand out these contracts to vets in their late 20`s your gonna get smoked at some point
The idea is great if your built for a cup and you deal with the cap in years 4-7 or 8 later
They didnt need him , offence was fine .

Zach Bogosian has looked terrible this year.
But with another injured member of the Bolts d-corp in Erik Cernak, some added depth was needed.
I guess there is something to be said for adding free depth VS trading assets for depth.
