No word on how long their new contracts are
Short term. I understand Johnny's situation with NBC is year to year and that they don't want to get either party in a position to mess up a potential national broadcasting deal for him.
NBCs contract is up after the 2020-21 season. Doc Emrick be 75 that summer. Combined with ESPNs supposed interest in getting back in, if for no other reason than to provide additional content for ESPN+, that could change the landscape. We also don’t know what Sinclair will do with the Fox regional networks they bought from Disney. I think the RSNs have contracts with 21 of the 25 US based teams.
