TV: NBCSN, SN

The Latest: Leading the Western Conference in wins and standings points, the Anaheim Ducks (50-23-7, 107 pts.) conclude their 2014-15 home schedule against the Dallas Stars Wednesday at Honda Center (7:30 p.m. PDT, NBCSN/980 AM). The club is 10-7-3 in all-time home finales, most recently earning a 3-2 overtime win on April 13, 2014 vs. Colorado. The Ducks have won four of their last five games (4-1-0), gone 8-3-0 in their last 11 and 15-7-0 in their last 22. The Ducks own the second-most wins through 80 games in club history, trailing only the 2013-14 club (52-20-8, 112). Anaheim has also matched the club record for most road standings points (52) and wins (24) through 40 road games, a record originally set last season. Among Western Conference opponents, the Ducks have the top intra-conference record with a 33-10-5 mark for a .739 points percentage. The Ducks are 16-4-0 vs. the Central Division, leading NHL teams in wins and ranking second in points percentage (.800). The club is also 17-6-5 vs. the Pacific, having won six of its last eight (6-2-0).

Following Wednesday's game, the Ducks will have two days to prepare for their regular season finale on Saturday, April 11 in Arizona.

Ducks-Stars: Anaheim and Dallas wrap up a three-game season series Wednesday at Honda Center, marking the Stars' first regular season Orange County appearance since Feb. 1, 2014. The Ducks have won the first two games of the season set at American Airlines Center, including a 2-1 overtime win on Oct. 31 (Nate Thompson OT goal) and a 3-1 victory on March 1 (Clayton Stoner GWG). The Ducks are 41-60-11 all-time vs. the Stars, including a 25-26-4 mark at Honda Center. Since 2012-13, these two teams have been separated by two wins (6-4-0 for Anaheim, 4-4-2 for Dallas) and only four goals (26 for the Ducks, 22 for the Stars; shootouts excluded). Ryan Getzlaf has 42 points (9g/33a) in 52 career games vs. the Stars, leading all active Anaheim skaters.

Ducks team scope: Anaheim forwards Tim Jackman and Matt Beleskey likely will return to the lineup. Jackman hasn't played since March 1 after sustaining a lower-body injury. Beleskey has missed the past three games with a lower-body injury. Anaheim can help its chances of becoming the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a win. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't watching the games or seeing what's going on," forward Nate Thompson said. "We know there are a few different teams we could play, but that's out of our control." The Stars average more than three goals per game, which will be a tough test for the Ducks, who have allowed a combined 10 goals in their past five games. "They have the second highest scoring team in the league so, if we are talking about defensive hockey, it's going to be a great challenge for us," head coach Bruce Boudreau said.

Stars team scope: Despite a 5-1 win against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, Dallas was eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff contention. "It's kind of frustrating," said defenseman Jason Demers. "We just put ourselves behind the eight ball. … It's just frustrating. Every game you win here against teams like this especially Nashville, now San Jose, you think back to the games you kind of gave up." The Stars are 12-5-0 in their past 17 games and are looking to close out the season strong against the Ducks and Predators. Forward Jamie Benn has eight goals and 13 points in his past eight games. "There's not much to celebrate anymore," Benn said after the San Jose game. "We didn't do our job this year and that is pretty much it." Because Dallas won't make the playoffs, there could be some lineup changes in the next two games, but head coach Lindy Ruff didn't address that.
