How can they say it was a mistake? They turned on the missile defense system and didn’t ground commercial flights. What did they think would happen?

Seriously. These dickheads are playing tough guys games, trying prove how hard they are... and this the result.

And what for? What was the strategic purpose of this brain dead shitshow.

A pox on all their houses.

What I heard is that it is up to individual airlines to ground their flights. Most airlines had grounded or diverted their flights away from Iran.

I don’t mean to blame the victims but Ukraine seems to have a record of allowing flights in dangerous airspace.

It is still early in the investigation but Assuming the flight was shot down I get the feeling that there will be enough blame to go around.

I mean, where is a flight from Tehran supposed to go if not through Iranian airspace?

The big challenge will be what Canada does to react. The flight was 2/3 en route to Canada, but obviously was not planned as a direct attack on Canada. But I seriously doubt that we want to get into the thick of this whole conflict. Definitely stuck between a rock and a hard place on this.

Maybe I'm biased, living in the bubble that is the downtown of one of Canada's major cities, but I can't imagine there would be any appetite among a large portion of Canadians to get involved in any Trumpian adventure in Iran over this.

Or that a sizeable portion of Canadians won't place a large portion of the blame on Trump for this.

And hell, Trump probably won't escalate this further anyway. Fortunately he's probably too much of a pussy to actually purposefully plunge his country into a full-scale shooting war. All he wanted was to look tough and distract from his domestic issues, and he was probably expecting he'd be showered with the same praise he received after bombing Syria following their chemical attack.

Obama bails out the auto industry with a loan that was paid back and in the end made America money....Obama is a vile socialist who doesn't understand the economy.

Trump picks a fight with China and pours fucking billions into the pockets of "farmers" (which in modern times isn't typically the small farmer we all visualize when we hear the word farmer, but instead a massive corporate farm) that the treasury will never see back, many multiples of the size of the auto bailout. Economic genius.

... and a recommendation for congress to impeach trump himself for obstruction,

Love that people still refer to the Mueller investigation as “nothing”
