OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I think Gibson is good value at that price. Great value if you believe in the way fangraphs calculates WAR.

Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait and see what else comes off the waiver wire from Cleveland.

perfect get for this FO.

Nice spin rates, illusion of upside, dirt cheap, fan favorite.

And hey he doesn't have to deal with that meanie stroman anymore.

Jmho ....

I dont understand why the Jay's dont go after top tier pitching.

If you dont want to trade one of your top prospects, then the only other commodity the Jay's have to use is money.

Take a page from the Braves of the past.

Go after the 2 top pitching FA's.

Let Pearson and manoah slide in to the 3rd and 4th spots on the team over the next 2 or 3 years.

You have 2, top starting pitcher positions covered for the next 7 years and much more after the kids take their places on this team.

The kids, (pearson and manoah) will move up as they gain more experience.

Having two top pitchers will only help create a winning environment and help to teach the kids in the field to play up instead of treading.

Pitching usually trumps offence in the playoffs.

But ..... will the Jay's pay a couple of hundred million to go this route?

As I mentioned .... jmho.
