That renews my faith in humanity a bit. I still can't believe Raycroft managed to find someone to pay him money to be an NHL goalie after he left Toronto. Though I guess the fact that he was less delusional than Toskala, and was willing to take a backup job elsewhere is what got him that chance.

He also did everything possible to earn his paycheque...he was solid for Vancouver last year.

On Kaberle....


Talking to sources, the two deals on the table for Kaberle today became 3, so there are officially 3 teams in the running as of now. There has been a ton made of the fact that Burke wants a top 6 forward for Kaberle. Well, according to my sources he may be tweaking this a tad.

We all remember that magic Saturday morning when Phaneuf and Giguere were acquired...well it looks as though we may have not one but two deals coming in Leaf-land, and it is getting to the point where this could happen next week.

I am hearing the NON-Kaberle deal would bring a top 6 forward to the Leafs, but a piece acquired in the Kaberle deal may be essential to make that happen.

More as I get it, but again I stand by the fact that Kaberle will indeed by traded by August 15th...next Monday.

The other one i thought was as opposed to Ryan....Burke sends his LAK prospects to EDM for Ales Hemsky

He is a good set up right winger (lots of assists) I wonder though how his shoulder is... looking at his injury history, the shoulder comes up ALOT.

i read on TSN as well, how Teemu is coming back for another year with Anaheim and he is trying to get Kariya to join him.

I still think that Burke is one of those guys that sets there mind on one thing and somehow gets it. Phaneuf was a pipe dream according to all, yet he pulled it off.

I remember when that trade went through Jackson? mentioned how they went through EVERY player in the league and ranked them in order of who'd they'd like, and Phaneuf was on that list for the defense. My money is that Ryan is on the top of that list for forwards and Burke will get his man.

Flames sign Craig Conroy.

Holy shit, the Flames have a ton of 30 and over players -

Conroy (38), Iginla (32), Langkow (33), Hagman (30), Jokinen (31), Kotalik (31), Tanguay (30), Ivanans (31), Regehr (30), Sarich (31), Staois (36), Kiprusoff (33)

We only have Kaberle (32), Beauchemin (32), Giguere (33).

Hemsky is ****ing awesome. He is a legit front line player, who skates and handles the puck and is explosive like Mogilny, just is a top notch set up man instead of goal scorer.

Only 4 years older than Ryan.

Him and Kessel would be so damn exiting to watch.

They are actually younger than I thought.

Staois and Conroy are the only real old guys.
