GDT: HABS (35-23-7) at SHARKS (40-17-7) - Sat, 8 Mar 10 PM EST

No excuses but this team looks dead tired -- a lot of Olympians followed quickly by a west coast junket.

Its frustrating but thats exactly whats going on. Not good timing at all for a western road trip

It's really frustrating that this team has performances like that often. I don't give a shit if they're in a playoff spot, the coach doesn't get enough energy, determination and hustle out of this team.

If it wasn't for other teams paying poorly and Price the Habs would be a bottom feeder.

They played like an expansion team tonight.

TSN were saying that San Jose made Crosby look like an AHL player (he was -5) a few nights before....so maybe it has more to do with San Jose being very good, rather then us being very bad.

We will still make the playoffs.....and then we might go 2 rounds, which is all Molson is hoping for....$$$$

shhhhh..we're the only good team in the league with sucky performances.

I look at our roster, and i'm not as concerned as others around here for the playoffs...the East is not very physical.

We have a fast team, and our players probably know that they are better off keeping their energy for the playoffs, especially with Vanek on the team now, and Price is not playing....

I think players know what they are capable of doing (beating Bruins, Pens in playoffs), so they won't drain themselves playing Western teams (who play very physical).

Vets like Pleks, Gionta, Price, Markov, Gorges know we can surprise teams in the playoffs....

We better finish 7th or 8th overall if you want a 1st round matchup against Bruins or Pens. Otherwise you know who we may face in the first round if we finish 2nd or 3rd in the division...quick exit...

Thankfully, Boudreau was dumb enough to play wide open hockey against us. Otherwise, this trip would have been a complete nightmare

I hope he smartens up for tomorrow when TML visit the Ducks but I'm not counting on it.

We can thank our lucky stars San Jose, L.A., Anaheim, St. Louis and Chicago are in the Western Conference. Take from that what you will...

Maybe we're not so lucky--if we were in the West we would gave gotten killed last year and picked up a guy like Seth Jones.

Yet Therrien hesitates to get other more important players going (like Galchenyuk)

Exactly , that`s what pisses me off about this team , the political crap of catering to a few who aren`t core players moving forward , to appease the media or fan base .

Michel Therrien isn't trying to appeal to the french fans by playing Gionta....he just doesn't want to lose his locker room.

Any captain being marginalized would be poison in the locker room...

That is more a testament about this team's lack of leadership rather than being about the coach. If we had real leadership from our top players (Max, PK, Price), then Gionta being dropped in the line-up would have limited effect in the locker room.

Instead of losing the locker room he will lose games. MT will smarten up because of that. Vanek and Gionta will be on different lines by next Saturday.
