I have yet to see a high end prospect dealt thus far leading up to the deadline. Not in this pro-seller environment. Petry would fetch a lot more than a projected 3rd liner.

His comments clearly indicate he wants to compete NEXT season. He won't deal them at the draft.
He's been wanting to compete the last 8 years, how'd that work out so far? lol
I can’t stand when he keeps making references to other teams in the league or just the rest of the league in general.
I’m with you there, who cares that many other teams in the league won’t come close to sniffing the Cup? Bergevin rationalizing why the Habs are a shade below mediocre is loser talk, with no accountability.
As for potential trades, keep in mind that Pacioretty was traded in September, so I don't think yesterday was a deadline to reshape the Habs.
I found it laughable when he said if our home record was what Boston's was we would be where Boston is in the standings because we're a good road team.
Is this guy serious???
We'd have a lot better record if we didn't lose so many games!!
I can't believe that we have fallen below the Knights with wins expectations. They lose 3 or 4 in a row and fall out of 1st in the division and Gallant gets fired. We have 2 8 game losing streak and both the coach and the GM are still around. We need people and an owner that won't tolerate losing. What happened to this franchise and the expectation of winning.
I agree with that, as well as surviving 1 8 gm losing streak could be tolerated but not 2. Julien should have been let go after the second one.there is a balance
firing of gallant was stupid
Geoff wrote his script yesterday...indirectlyif he said that to Geoff privately, it's a fireable offense
