2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

Oh no, Andy! It may be time that you get shunned out of North Carolina and back to yankeeland! Oh god, I fear for you after @jeffbear see this!
Meh ... the boy likes his college hoops, which is all I require. I'm willing to overlook that he likes that weird Northeastern variant.

That's about the age I was for 1983... but I was in the Annapolis area then...
I was a junior at State in 1983. I remember the drinking! Rally at Reynolds the next day then bike ride to work at falls twin theater.
Was a great weekend!!!

I was a freshman ... but I got to go to Albuquerque (and flew back on the team charter), so I missed most of the pandemonium in Raleigh.

Yeah ... I had a lot of friends on site. It sounded like fun/chaos. We had a much more subdued time out in New Mexico with the team and the staff. Everybody was flat out exhausted by the end. Jimmie was sick as a dog the whole time and it was all very much surreal for the rest of us.

It was a blast!

Philip Rivers retires after 17 seasons. Has 8 kids and yes he's Catholic which is unusual since he grew up in Alabama and is retiring there.

Rivers and Brees now...with Big Ben and Brady right behind them almost ready to call it a career...safe to say all four of those guys easily get into the Hall.

All my best to Philip Rivers. I'll never regret a day spent watching him QB the Pack
I don’t think there was ever a play where he didn’t wear his heart on his sleeve. That alone made him easy to root for, even as a dispassionate observer, albeit one who chose NC State as my “local” team when I moved here.

Honestly ... Rivers and Wilson spoiled the heck out of us, and State Fans being State Fans ... we complained the whole time. Not me, man. I can appreciate good QB play even when my team loses.
