I noticed the same thing in Edmonton.For groceries you can do curbside pickup in most places. Maybe in small towns you’d also have to mandate that stores offer that service.
I don’t doubt that you have to spend an incredible amount of time dealing with medical exemptions. When my first kid was born and it was time for the pediatrician to talk vaccines, we couldn’t believe how delicately they broached the issue. This was in Vancouver, I guess they dealt with this a lot. My wife and I just genuinely burst out laughing and reassured the doctors that, for the same reasons we went to a hospital to have a baby, we trusted medical professionals to guide our child’s vaccine schedule. I feel great sympathy for anyone who devotes their life to caring for patients, and then has to deal with those patients questioning their advice because of some meme on Facebook.
They were like WTF when I asked them at what age they can get the flu shot (not a standard vaccine - and the answer is at 6 months btw) as if somebody being pro vaccine was rare
