Don't know if including Panik was supposed to be a + or a - for Washington. I mean was it a trade of Vrana, picks and Panik for Mantha, or a trade of Vanek and picks for Mantha and Wings agreeing to take Panik's contract? (not aware of his contact status, $, etc,, nor can be bothered to find out).

Its sometimes hard to tell these days what is what in a trade.Either way, its primarily a hockey trade I guess, which is refreshing. .

Reading that article on Shaw, looks like he could have a tough time adjusting to not playing, to say nothing of the physical issues. That stuff scares me since I read Dryden's book on Steve Montador. Hope he can enjoy life soon, and that its more precautionary than it may read. .

Yeah, the concussion stuff is scary. There are some that get a ton and are seemingly fine, then there are some that just get a few and they're toast.

I hope he's able to have a long and steady life without too many lingering issues.
