It’s about flipping time for Todd Rundgren and Carole King. They were both well down in the listener poll. Carole King was inducted as a non-performer in 1990 with her ex-husband and writing partner, Gerry Goffin. She and Tina Turner will be the 2nd and 3rd women inducted twice, after Stevie Nicks. Turner was inducted with Ike in 1991.

'Bout danged time for the Go-Go's too. They might not have lasted long, but for a couple of years they were as big an act as anybody. And with Kraftwerk getting an influence award, the techo nerds can finally shut up about that omission.
 
The whole nomination and induction process still is so confusing and convoluted that it makes the whole thing pretty ridiculous.

As for this years inductees, how the heck was Carole King and Todd Rundgren not already in as performers? Carrying that further, in what logical world is Pat Benatar, who effectively owned the Female Rock genre from 79-84 and then was still producing a bit more 'poppy' platinum albums through the rest of the 80s not already in? You can go on and on with artists and groups that are not in yet that certainly should have gotten in there before the Foo Fighters (Foreigner not in Foo Fighters in? Really?)

Panthers open at home with Jets 9/12 at 1 . 8 home games 9 away. preseason cut to 3 games. Next year they should get 9 at home. Also they are playing AFC and NFC east.

Yeah ... it's all rather pointless, and continues to illustrate the massive chasm between the music industry and the artists. Still, once they finally get around to someone deserving then it's worth celebrating. A little bit.

Even with false positives/negatives, still friggin amazing how fast things have progressed on vaccines/tests etc.. I’ve worked in drug R&D for many years and even I’m amazed how quickly this stuff has happened. 💪🏻
