OT: American Politics

I'm still struggling with how uniquely American that hummer incident is

- incredibly necessary (and likely poorly regulated) infrastructure company skimps on web security and gets hacked
- incredibly necessary infrastructure company decides to shut down temporarily to fix the problem rather than pay the ransom and then fix the problem
- Despite the pipeline company having a month of typical use fuel supply, panic ensues, creating an entirely unnecessary, entirely real fuel crisis
- Idiot hoarders fill every container they can find full of gasoline that only their batshit actions create a lack of supply of, many of which aren't safe fuel container because most of them are fucking convinced that Mad Max is a prophecy because Biden is President.
- overload the back of the most unnecessarily 'Murican mass market vehicle in the history of mankind, a vehicle whose very existance could only occur in Murica, with an unnecessary amount of (apparently unsafe?) fuel containers due to a made up fuel crisis (probably because Facebook told him to)
- Do all of this in a fucking state that has it's own rotating cast of idiots that the entire world identifies the state by....there are dumber states than Florida, but they're all small enough to remain relatively obscure. No state is as emblematic of "Murica" as Florida is. Just saying the words "Florida man" prepares you for incredible idiocy to follow.

The only thing that could make this more American is if the driver of the hummer was jacked up on prescription pain killers or meth and the explosion was caused by a stray bullet from the local police shooting at a black man who had the police called on him for looking suspicious while fueling up at the same gas station.
