Weird game .... lots of wheel spinning by the first lines on both teams. By that I mean big, heroic looking efforts that ended up going mostly nowhere. That was a fairly low scoring game that could have been a high scoring game, but wasn't ... even though the goalies didn't really stand on their heads.

Speaking of goalies, how about old fella Craig Anderson dusting himself off (literally, I think) and jumping in the breach when young Vanecek hurt himself? Good thing they got him out in one of those late season mop-up games because before that it was sometime in February when he last saw opposing fire. Post game comment was nice too ... "well, I'm rested." Looked to me like Vanecek may have wrecked a groin, and I'm not sure what's going on with Samsonov ... so we might be seeing Anderson the rest of the way. That would be .... weird.

Samsonov was just cleared off the Covid list yesterday afternoon. Kuznetsov is still on it.

Kelly Hrudey blamed Vanacek‘s injury on not stretching enough. He’s getting hammered for it.

This game is insane, unbelievable playoff hockey and some of these hits are unreal. These two teams are beating the shit out of each other, gotta love it as a Canes fan!!!
