I think Dom Dom gives the most thought provoking (analytical & detailed) replies during media sessions in my lifetime, since I’ve only seen limited highlights of Scotty during his Habs years.

He's definitely a bit odd. His eyeballs popping out of his head when he speaks is a bit freaky too.

I think he sticks longer...he's on the younger side, and is not a buffoon like some of your previous coaches.

He was hired to coach the national junior team so I guess his English was good enough.

Frankly I don't care how good or bad his English is. He needs to be able to communicate with his players. The media can damn well hire a translator.

Besides, we all know he's going to get fired before that 3 year contract is done.

I've never heard Price or Weber talk this way (praises) about Julien or Therrien....and this was even before playoffs....same with Gally

I think DD knows when to be the Alpha in the room, and when not to be......Therrien and Julien were always the Alpha's in the room, their way or you sit.

Don't forget that the locker room lost Muller, who was always the player's coach, the bridge between management and players......and the Habs still thrived.

I think having DD-Luke-Burke-Burrows with a fresh younger approach helped relax the players.

Also, they never benched Staal, and like it or not, that also helped in the locker room (even though it might have cost us a Cup, well maybe not)
