Habs Season Thread: 2023-24 Season

Is this a real question?

Everyone can learn and grow from an experienced mentor/teammate/colleague. You can learn from your own mistakes, but you can also learn from the mistakes of others and save some time and results doing so.

It doesn't have to be an actual behind the bench coach, an experienced coaching consultant would do as well.

The counterpoint is archaic thinking can spoil the fresh well.

I do think they'll add someone but not until next season and only if these three amigos make too many bench mistakes.

I think a mix of opinion is good and adding somebody who has experienced things at this level to bounce ideas with can only help. It's not like that person would tell MSL what to do.

Yeah but they already have ambassadors with opinions. I get it though, someone like Scott Bowman. You know, fresh.

Jokes aside, Robidas was director of player development with the Leafs for 4-5 years, so he does have NHL coaching experience.

Worked several years with Adam Nicholas, while he was with the Leaf organization - the entire focus is on communication & player development

That's not NHL coaching experience. We have plenty of front office experience, that's not the concerns.
