More Stadium Series Tix Released-General Stadium Thread

NC State students have an allotment for sale now. $40 for those "standing on the field" opportunities or $55 for some lower bowl seats.

PNC Arena just announced a concert for the Friday night before the game, Hootie and the Blowfish, with special guest Susto. Tickets on sale on Friday. With the State-UNC basketball game in Sunday, it’s going to be a busy weekend in West Raleigh.

Darius Rucker singing the anthem on Saturday?

So the concert adds to all the activity leading into the game. Thursday is the Hall of Fame game, Friday is the Fan Fest on Fayetteville St. followed by the concert. Mike Forman, who is the Canes Chief Marketing Officer tweeted that there are additional outdoor on-ice activities planned for Sunday - Tuesday.

I think a NC State vs UNC club hockey game is one of the things that they are planning for on ice activities that weekend as well.

Yeah, the NHL has mentioned on-ice activities after the Canes game itself, which could mean we get a Sunday game between the Pack and the Heels in the stadium. Which would be just epic. Fingers crossed on that one, for sure.

There is a Pack v. Heels basketball game at PNC on 1:00 on Sunday too. So maybe a late afternoon hockey game?

I saw a tweet in the last week from the Wolfpack hockey crew that they cannot formally announce anything yet but it’s in the works for sure.

I wish they would open up a public skating session on the outdoor rink with the money going to charity too! They have done that a couple of times in the past once the NHL game is over in other markets.

We’ve been cleaning stuff out as we've prepared for home improvements and I found my skates. I would for sure shell out some money to embarrass myself on the rink.

That's where the speculation seems to be running. The Ice Pack guys definitely know what's up but can't say, and there's no reason for them to be coy otherwise. They're also absolutely buzzing, so it's gonna be big when it gets announced

I am fully expecting that they will offer STMs an opportunity to skate on the rink.

Because there is no way that the team will waste an opportunity to monetize this. They’re gonna have to craft a new waiver though, one that includes NC State. But that’s what they have a legal department for.

I had asked our league directors at the last beer league captain's meeting if there was any way we (beer leaguers) could get out there for a game after the festivities are over... Luc wasn't hopeful about our chances but said he'd check into it.

More tickets are available through the NHL Experience. Extras include a Stanley Cup viewing, a partner skate on the ice, access to a team practice and a stadium tour. Prices range from $299 for upper level end zones to $699 for lower level center ice.
