Every last one of the people you mentioned are actual fascists.

The UCP and everyone associated with it, are fascists. Kenney was one of them and now they're too far right even for him.

Polievre is as fascist as they get. He refuses to speak to reporters who ask him unscripted questions, he has his photo taken with neo-nazis, uses an incel hashtag on his social media videos, embraced the Clownvoy leaders who are all white supremicists and fascists. If he isn't a fascist then he's at best fascist-adjacent, which is every bit as bad.

The truckers are mostly too dumb and inbred to even know how to spell fascist but essentially that's what they are. They are either consciously or unconsciously fascist. The dumbest of them are the useful idiots of fascists.

Boris Johnson, like conservative Canadian premiers, spent most of his tenure as Prime Minister trying to dismantle the social safety net in Britain and privatize everything. He also pushed for Brexit, which was merely a manifestation of xenophobia and white fright. It's no coincidence that the biggest fans of Brexit were old white racists.

The term "fascist" isn't rendered meaningless when it serves as an apt description of what these people actually are. It's high time we started referring to them as fascists instead of euphemisms like "conservative" because it's the word "conservative" which no longer holds any meaning. Dwight D. Eisenhower was a conservative. If he were alive today Republicans would dismiss him as a socialist at best and an outright communist at worst. There is no longer any such thing as a "conservative" anymore. There are only fascists on the right of the spectrum now. Anyone to the left of Hitler is no longer electable in the CPC, UCP or GOP. They only want the batshit nazis now.

It's very hard to be super critical of a country that basically owns you. Most western nations sold their souls to cheap Chinese labor a long time ago. China has proven that capitalism does not require democracy to thrive. In fact, it works a lot better (for the owners of the capital) when the working classes have no rights. That's why so many capitalists in the west give financial support to right wing assholes in the GOP. They don't give a shit about American democracy as long as they can make exploit whoever they want and make money without any oversight or regulation.

If we cut off all trade with China tomorrow the cost of damn near everything we buy goes up because now we have to get people living in democracies who have human rights to make all those consumer items we love. What we love most about our TV's is the fact that we can buy them cheaply. If they stop making them in China and get made in North America their cost will double. But no one from the owner class is interested in paying their workers more. Buying cheap shit from China is what enables a lot of North Americans to pretend they're middle class when they are, in fact, merely the working poor.

Brexit was a dumb idea and Cameron should have deemed the result inconclusive but you being a huge democrat can't honestly be against abiding by the majority rule. Johnson had to impliment the best deal he could to abide by the will of the people...

He had no choice. He's a closeted homosexual in a party that doesn't like them. The only reason he ever became leader was because those dumb hillbillies have no gaydar. Kenney either had to leave or be outed. Either way he was gone. But he is the one who created that Frankenstein monster in the first place. It simply grew beyond his ability to control it.

Thing is, people who support politicians like Kenney & Graham don’t actually have any issue with gay people, so long as they remain deep in the closet publicly, support homophobic policies and hold to the belief that you can “pray the gay away”.

Nah, the Chinese problem is overstated imo. China didn't invent commodifying labour and they're now starting to seriously struggle against the same market forces they helped created. 2 pretty significant macro factors are happening currently

1) Just in time logistics is what made China. The ability for Chinese factories to access local raw materials for dirt fuck all, manufacture them into some sort of low or mid tech value add product and ship it for finishing to clients in North America, Japan or Europe. This required reliable on time shipping that has been disrupted by a bunch of factors over the last few years. Everything from chinese covid shutdowns, to truck driver shortages. JIT has become the king of manufacturing logistics management over the last 20 years and there's no going back. If China isn't a reliable source of JIT goods, they'll get carved out as a source and that's exactly what's happening. Mexico will be the China of North America in 10 years, fulfilling a massive chunk of what China currently provides (low cost semi skilled labour).

2) While that's happening, Chinese urbanization has caused what was formerly dirt poor economically displaced farmers to become 1st generation well educated, relatively wealthy urbanites. Basically, Chinese labour isn't as cheap anymore. So they're bleeding jobs to Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Mexico. Also and funny enough, they're bleeding their higher tech jobs to Taiwan. Uncle Joe's recent immigration policy attack on them is devestating to their high tech industries. Basically a "last one out get the lights" for their chip and semi conductor industries.


People on our side of the Pacific have had this wrong for years. China doesn't own us, they're a section of our supply chains and they're a replaceable section.
