In this case I think it's that we have to make QO to retain his RFA rights, and now he has the opportunity to take us to arby if he wants to because he's arby eligible.

The likely outcome imo is that Sammy uses the threat of Arby to get every cap dollar out of us that we have left and signs a 1 yr deal for that amount taking him to UFA status next summer with the 88 million dollar cap and goes hunting for his bag if he has another good season.
