That’s what I said. I’m pretty sure they’re not risking Woll on waivers, so they likely signed Jones just to lose him as soon as they need him if he’s halfway decent.

Basically yeah, they're obviously gonna waive him and not Woll. If he gets claimed, oh well. Plenty of vet #3's become available on waivers over the course of a year.

And if not, great they have a #3.

Think I much prefer him to tandem with Hidelby than Petruzzelli tbh; they need a vet with NHL experience IMO. But if he gets claimed another Jones will arise from waivers.

Don't quite get the complaints about a #3 goalie. Standards may be a touch too high here.

But in this years case, there are no kids really. The Russian kids went back to Russia and there's a whole bunch of ECHLers at best in the system... And Hidelby, but in the AHL you need 2 goalies with their schedules and you're kinda forced to split the workload there. They need a vet #3/4 goalie.. Throw a dart, I don't care who it is.. They're all gonna be .890-.900 (if lucky) goalies. But they absolutely need a body.
