Ahh, ok. The part of things I don’t think he deserves any criticism for is not being willing to sign in Carolina.

He’s earned his right to pick his destination by virtue of having gotten to the doorstep of unrestricted free agency. And I don’t think Carolina trading for him places any obligation on him to change his mind about that.

But yeah, if he legitimately pulled a Pierre-Luc Dubois and dogged it in games and sulked his way out of town, that’s a weak-ass move and that aspect of things is indefensible.
