OT: American Politics

Man, reporters really get lost in the weeds when Republicans come out with their talking points.

Their go to thing re: Elon Musk's involvement is to point to Soros/Pritzker's donations and the media comes back with "well nowhere near the same amount of money as Musk" which is true but no one even points out that he's literally handing cheques to voters to vote. No one is ever asked specifically about that.

The irony is that if he was just looking for acceptance and some admiration, all he would have had to tell the gaming community was "yeah, I love to game but I'm so busy being an uber billionaire with my companies that I don't have a chance to play a lot" and then name drop some respected titles that he likes to play, etc. The gaming weirdos would have fallen all over themselves to be friends with Elon, have him play with them on their twitch streams, etc. He would be a pop culture god in the gamer culture.

But his mental illness won't allow him to be humble like that, so he's coming up with more and more elaborate bullshit to pretend he's a world class gamer instead.

The dems should probably go all in on supporting voter ID laws and just make sure they write into those laws plenty of stuff to make obtaining those IDs easier and more efficient.

yeah...voter suppression motivation is real....but their voter id laws are pretty lax and antiquated....,
