The official NFL thread

I heard Bears want to move up to pass Vegas for Jeanty, which is interesting but i dunno i Chicago is in the surrender assets to move up in round 1 for a RB stage of their contending

So NE might be a bit conflicted at 4 and willing to listen to a deal. Probably not, but they might be totally locked in on Campbell yet.

Fins apparently zeroed in on Gray Zabel ( best G in draft, and best G in their system) which while boring, makes me happy despite massive needs at DT and CB as well.

I suspect Miami to be active in the CB market post June 1 cuts. DT is a wasteland though, no clue on the plan.

They might just be fucked.

Best player in draft, but if you need a QB i think i believe in Ward enough to where i understand.

There is some scuttle of Browns trading out of 2.

I can see a team going nuts for Hunter, but also, CLE should just draft him.
I haven’t followed Cleveland’s needs leading to the draft. But if ward goes 1 then it’s an absolute no brainer to take hunter regardless of need

I don't blame Cleveland for making that deal. That's a significant haul.

Jacksonville Jaguars acquire the No. 2 overall pick.
Browns acquire No. 5 overall pick, a second-round pick, a fourth-round pick, and a 2026 first-round pick

Hunter wasn't fixing the Browns. 4 very good players would go much further to doing that.

What I'm wondering is why the Jags did it, they need a lot too and aren't one player away from being a contender.

Well, consider this.

Jags aren't smart, but they do have their entire franchise sunk into Trevor Lawrence and this pick gives them a top corner, their biggest need, and their QB a weapon at the same time.

No team needed Travis Hunter more than Jacksonville, but the Browns, a wasteland for talent picking up a 2, 4, 5 this year and 1 next year to move down 3 spots? Automatic IMO

I see it for the Browns but disagree as far as the Jags giving up that much for a player that won't move the needle as far as they need it to go.
