OT: Movies/TV Shows

Basically, the stuff with Carmy and the family is very good because of JAW, but the other kitchen characters, I couldn’t care less.

It sort of plays to that loud Italian family stereotype, add in the Chicago gruffness and profanity, and there you have all the yelling, swearing, talking over each other, etc. I don't know how true to life that stuff is in fact, but they're clearly trying to show an insane unhealthy circus environment even at the best of times within the family (e.g., everyone gathered for christmas), and why it could emotionally damage and traumatize someone, with the direct effect already known to the audience.

The long flashback episode was the christmas dinner one.

But then the next episode was Richie in some Severance kitchen for the whole episode, which I thought was a dream sequence or something the whole time. Groan.
