I doubt they will but I was mostly pointing out the dilemma. First few games people were complaining that there was too many scrums, that those guys won’t have a chance to make the team, that we need to focus on getting some chemistry with the lines, and now we want more scrums to protect our good players. Damn if you do, damn if you don’t.

They dont need a meeting. If Roy hasn't figured out on his own by now that he's a career AHLer he's a moron as well as a bum. Just tell him to go to Laval and play like his career depends on it because it does. If he plays well down there, maybe Hughes can trade him. Otherwise he can pound sand or learn a trade.

Not sure what the discussion would be about, I'm sure the team is happy that he worked hard this summer, but that should be a given, but he needs to prove it on the ice. He'll have plenty of ice time in Laval, he needs to produce and develop his identity as a player. Even to be traded he'll need to prove something.

He’s in shape apparently, which is a credit to his work this summer. But it’s hard to tell because he’s invisible on the ice.

Being in shape doesn't alter the fact that hes a mediocre hockey player.
there are worse places to play than Switzerland, that is for sure, if I could practice law there, I would move tomorrow

She can say she doesn't believe in fighting but she cant deny what we all saw. Fighting in hockey is an objective, observable fact and nobody cares what she thinks about it. It also isnt her job to opine on it in any official capacity.

While working at the Canadian Embassy in the summer of 1980, I had an Eurail Pass (1st-class, obviously...) and would leave every week-end for different places in Europe.
My favorite was Switzerland. I went there four times out of the 14 week-ends I spent in Paris that summer. The great memory I still have from Interlaken and Spitz, and a train trip through the Alps from Interlaken to Montreux with one of my sister.
