OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

I'm worried that we're going to do something dumb like trade IQ + RJ instead of Ingram.

Ingram and stuff for AD is something we should consider the fuck out of though.

Fwiw, I think Detroit is the obvious suitor. They can send back a pretty attractive package without it touching their young core. Something like Stewart + Harris + Draft Equity probably does it. Stewart gives them a stretch 4-5 that fits into their rotation now, and is young enough to stick around for a bunch of years. Harris is expiring at the end of the year so gives them immediate cap relief and if you get 2 1sts for busted ass AD you've done pretty good business there.

5 - Duren
4 - AD
3 - Ausar
2 - Ivey
1 - Cade
6 - Levert
7 - Robinson
8 - Holland
9 - Reed

Is a nice rotation in the east. AD would definitely be a ceiling raiser there and I think they're okay enough without him that his ~30 nights a year sitting courtside in Versace isn't going to hurt them too badly.

Timing was i think it makes more sense for the Pistons too

Yeah, we're still in a "gathering assets" phase imo. I don't think that phase should last too long given Scottie's age and the lack of an apparent 2nd star currently in house, but now isn't the time (if there ever is one) for us to pay full price on a 31-32 yr old fragile star like AD.

If this was a BI + stuff flip though, have to consider it.

Knicks have their full lineup (including OG) for the first time in a while, while the raps are missing both RJ and IQ.

Looked real bad with an instaturnover to start and a quick 5pt lead for the knicks but the raps actually look like they're showing up tonight.

Shead's first step is legit deadly. If he can find a weapon or two to go with them, he might have an offensive game in there.

i know he's short guys but darko is really stretching this ugly bench lineup and it's cost them big on the scoreboard and now scottie's in foul trouble.

Yeah....Chucky Hepburn is like the 17th guy in our org, chill Darko.

AD can opt out and eligible for a gross overpay

Pistons would be fools to overpay for this player

AD might get the Pistons to the finals.

If its Tobias Harris and futures i think thats worth it.

I dont think we are there yet as it removes IQ/RJ/Ingram off the roster

Maybe worth it for Atlanta, but i think more Pistons

Hawks have the Pelicans lottery pick to dangle

Why? Who else are the Pistons paying for the next few years?

Also, the market for AD isn't going to be a max money market if he opts out. He's not that guy in the new economic environment.
