21 year old d are hard to get reads on imo. The acquiring teams are betting on raw school. And the sellers could be over indexing on the advanced numbers for guys who just need more reps.

This quote gets me every time, as it's usually misused - especially in sports.
A team that has made multiple recent finals is perhaps failing in their goal, but not failing in the incremental steps required to achieve that goal.
Even Oilers fans know what the team really needs to take the next step, and it's not a toxic coach that may only make it harder to attract the players needed to fill out the roster.
If only McDavid would finally realize that while the Pacific division gives his team the easiest path to the playoffs, it's a flawed division and conference. The real playoff powers are in the east.
