So let me guess you were one of the posters in pre-season who predicted the Habs would be clinging to a wildcard spot in late March …correct? 🧐
 
Let's be honest Sal, this team is where they are because of the play of the first line, Hutson and PP Laine. That's it. The team isn't good.

We know. Next year you add Demidov, hopefully a second line center, Reinbacher, and Hage and Fowler the year after, and they should be very good. You don’t need 20 great players in a 32 team league. 7-8 should be sufficient.

They deserve credit for overachieving… which is the entire point. Many here were predicting a 5-10 overall pick.

It’s not over yet by any means.

As for the 1st line, Hutson, PO Laine…recall hearing that year after year re: Price, well every team is constructed differently that’s it..that’s all

I won’t. We’ve drafted top 5 three years in a row and Demidov is probably a 2OA last year and 1OA Slaf’s year. At some point learning how to play in, and win, important games becomes the priority in the process of becoming a contender.

It is not our goalies, they are not Price but they are good enough, they just need better support. Bad starts caused by poor defensive zone coverage, where is the urgency? Puck drop GO! The missing assignments in our end is alarming, there is no way a team can play from behind all the time and win, Keep it simple GUYS. Evans needs to get back to playing pre-contract games we really need his line to start chipping in again. It would be nice if 51 could bury one.
