Had a beer with the original backbone a few years back and discussed that night.

He still gets giddy talking about it. Said it was hard to describe the feeling of the noise when the crowd blew the roof off the place cheering

I'm really hoping that last night's game was a sign of this team "taking the next step" but obviously there's still that nagging doubt that they'll find some way to fuck it up.
 
Can we at least try to convince any returning Ottawa fans that the site is now subscription based, and that they'll have to pay us to post?

Ottawa is a very young and inexperienced team. Tkachuk will be a handful, Stuzle and Giroux will dive all over the place. Sanderson is amazing. They have a good goalie. But this isn’t Tampa, Boston, Florida.

Meanwhile the Leafs are a vet team now, they play “playoff” hockey, they have a top PP, elite goaltending and a real tough D.

This is the first time the Leafs played a team they are clearly better than since the COVID season.

If they can’t get this done then it’s over.
