OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Jake Bloss started out pitching poorly, but had 2 really good starts in a row, so I'd think he's probably the guy they call up.

Currently available as FAs:

Spencer Turnbull
Lance Lynn
Alex Wood
Rich Hill

the only guy on this list who isn't really old is Turnbull, which probably makes him the most interesting. I was surprised nobody signed Lance Lynn this off-season. He recently announced his retirement, but maybe he could be talked into signing.

Marco Gonzales is out there too.

I can squint and see value in all of Marco, Wood or TUrnbull ( i hear he was hurt during the FA period)

They really need a RHH, Straw cant be your lefty masher.

As a a manager, you have to see when your guy is all over the place and make a quicker pull there. Another loss on Schneider. When will they get an experienced, legit manager?

Leaving Yimi in for 32 pitches when he looked gassed after the 2nd batter is insane and Johnny seems to make the same stupid move over and over, but this was a game where the offence scored 3 runs and should have had 7+

they need a RHH in the worst way.

I appreciate that Myles Straw has gone from a laughing stock addition in a disaster trade to a useful OF4/5 but h cannot in any world be the best RHH off the bench. That's a fucking war crime.

I think sending down Roden ( Straw is out playing him) for Clase ( tearing up AAA) makes some sense, as does signing JD Martinez

What do they have to lose by signing JD at this point? He’s xl it going to cost much and if he’s half decent, that’s a huge upgrade
The downside is, he cant play a position, and shouldnt see PA vs RHP.

Alot of teams might not want to waste a roster spot on a lefty masher ( with maybe questionable mashing skills) that is awful at everything else.

I do happen to think though, with the construction of the roster, he'd be a worthwhile gamble.
