I mean, they're right. The only way this ever ends is with 2 nations there, with an internationally recognized border between the two nations and both nations held to something resembling international law when dealing with each other.

Jews will never accept being a minority in Israel, which means that a one state solution is out. Israeli annexation of all Palestinian territory and forcing Palestinians out should be pariah state type shit that is a complete non starter for the international community to abide by.

The only way forward for this is to actually find a real resolution where jewish people are safe and palestinian people have a home that isn't subject to israeli occupation, and that is Palestinian statehood.

disputed borders are common and there is at least some historic precedent to work from here with fixed borders existing as parts of various agreements over the years.

But yeah, by no means do I think that is an easy thing to accomplish, it's just the only outcome that leads to a proper end of the conflict.
 
I'm actually in favour of unilaterally recognizing a Palestinian state (although it has to be Israel that does it obviously), as the biggest obstical to the two state solution has always been Palestinians refusing to accept the deal.

But Carney, Macron, Starmer making the announcements while Israel/Qatar/US are trying to push a ceasefire deal across the finish line was effectively a death sentance for the hostages and many innocent palestinians. What a bunch of fucking idiots. There should be a deal now.

You don’t honestly believe Trump and Bibi (or Hamas, for that matter) are serious at all about “trying to push a ceasefire deal across the finish line”, do you?
 
I do. Israel made all kinds of concessions, seemingly to get Trump's help with Iran. Would it have led to permanently ending the war? I doubt it.

But they were definitely working on a deal and now there is no hope for a deal. That much can't be denied.
