Hard to believe this little Truckee house was socked in two weeks ago. Still some patches of snow in the shade, but not here. . . .

. . .but near and around Donner Lake there's still evidence that Old Man Winter took a stroll through the area wearing his boots.

American River running ridiculously high due to the current runoff.

I'm back at the "Go fuck yourself" kitchen place, getting ready to pull some prints tomorrow at Myrtle Press. I'll try to remember to get some shots of the shop and maybe some art.

So here's the "little" press I use when working at MP.

It's their smallest press, but allows one to lay down a 30"×22" sheet of paper onto a suitably sized inked up plate with decent room to spare, plus it has a gridded bed, making it easy to get paper and printing plate aligned. (I'm famous for misalignments that need trimming later. 🙄)

Inking station where you can plop down yer ink onto a 15-ft sheet of glass.

Shop ain't shy about supplies, either. If they got 'em, you can use 'em. Happy as a clam they dug up a generous bottle of burnt plate oil for ink thinning.

Shop's good sized. There are a total of four presses available; bad angle here omits one of three.

Nice tall ceilings help keep things cool during northern central valley's ridiculous F° triple digit summers.

Some work.

Phone camera misses some details, but colors are pretty good. Colored grease pencils will add other detailing later.
