If he’s deciding whether to ask for a trade this summer, report that. What’s with all the fucking sneaky language implying he’s a free agent right now or can even resign.
 
Our media is a joke. But I would really, really like Matthews to throw out a quick "All of this is BS, I'm committed to Toronto, will not be commenting further" statement. Hopefully after his chat with JC.

Have a pretty decent feeling the media is getting this info from the Matthews camp. I don't doubt there's some truth to it, but saying he's unsure if he will come back is just incomplete reporting. Tell us what he plans on doing if he decides he wants out. They're so close!
 
Our front office needs to call out these guys publicly. Name drop them. I want Pelley to come out and say here is the list of media members that know fuck all and are just spewing garbage because they have zero actual sources.
 
I wouldn't write him off and I think he can still have a fantastic summer even if that's his first decision, but it would be a shit start and a bad sign.
 
Why fret over the Toronto media?
The whole of it is solely based on speculation. That’s it, that’s all.
It’s molded as such, and it’s endorsed. Legit multinational companies spend advertising money for them to be able to keep it up.
Clicks = money.

I dunno, personally I’d rather never hear from Keith Pelley again.
