Even the best case wouldn’t apply for me.

Absolutely everything about climbing or jumping from a height—whether bungee jumping or skydiving—would be sheer unremitting terror until it was over and my feet were firmly and safely planted back on the ground.

The only thrill-seeking activity that I might be less interested in is caving. At least if skydiving or bungee jumping goes wrong, it’s all over relatively quick. As opposed to being stuck in a tight rock passageway deep underground.

Wouldn't be much of a rush if it didn't involve some controlled danger. But not everyone enjoys an adrenaline rush, so to each their own.

I guess that’s the problem—with bungee jumping especially, it’s not controlled danger. At least, it’s not controlled by you.

With skydiving I suppose you’ve got a greater degree of control, but still not enough for my liking.

The sweet spot for me when it comes to controlled danger is hurtling down a large mountain on a pair of skis. That, I love.

For sure...but when there is no control, or the control is in the hands of minimum wage staff, I gotta chase adrenaline hits elsewhere.
