Not that Carolina might not still be looking for an upgrade, but I wonder if Fred's let them know he's going to retire. He is 37, has about $50M in career earnings and has been either shit or injured a lot for the past three regular seasons. Plus he'd be going out on top.

Nikishkin probably has the same top pair upside as Byram does, but isnt going to cost either 4OA in a trade for 4 x 12.5 in an extension, let alone fucking both.
