Has he really become that bad?

I haven’t been paying attention.

Wondering if better players around him could help salvage his career.

Especially if he didn’t have to drive the play.

He just had hip resurfacing in offseason. He suffered a setback while skating recently.

Huberdeau had a career UFA season got a contract he never was going to be able to live up to, especially without a Barkov as his C - he isn’t, never was, and never will be a 115pts player but got paid as one.

Fans may not like it, but HuGo need to hang on to their assets (picks & prospects) while patiently waiting to pounce on a trade opportunity to present itself.

Also need to stay focused on trying to find one gem each draft.. it’s an almost impossible ask but it is what it is….
