Though I assume it'll also end up being a moot point since Chayka's almost certainly going to trade away that pick at some point this season.

But not so moot if Colorado is looking mid by the deadline and it's looking like it's gonna be pick 13-18. It's a more valuable piece of currency than 28-32, which is what we all expected when they made the trade.

The higher it is, the more it returns.

Though if we’re trading it, it better not be for fucking Carlo or Laughton types.

Not sure, he might want to keep it and trade away only players in the system. I don’t think there will be any big whales to use a 1st until around July 1st when they can be resigned. As much as I would love Quinn, doubting we have enough to get him and we don’t have enough depth in our system to take on a rental when we are a bubble team. Would be a miracle for Quinn to want to sign here before joining the team. And as a leafs fan, I don’t lean into great things happening to the team.

I want to assume we are no longer using our 1sts for depth players like in the Matthews decade (basically). Only for top tier guys.
 
Lines 1 through 4, all real gud solid players. Not unlike Carolina. Unlucky to not have a better record but maybe now they will with a goalie.

They just completely dominate every game.
