I’d love to hear from an insider on a podcast how they learn micro details of trades, but not the entirety of them.
Like who is telling them “a conditional first” but isn’t aware of what the conditions are?….
Curious what Carolina felt they could get him signed for, when they made the trade versus how much it would have cost to cement it.
Cause it feels like a bonkers move to trade Necas for him, but not being willing to pay what he’s agreeing to extend for today with someone else.
Be one thing...
Just learned one of David Letterman’s favorite films is ‘Scarecrow’ with Hackman & Pacino….thats another i haven’t seen.

They noted how Betsy was found in the bathroom along with a space heater and pills -- and it looked like she had been dead for a while. Her body was in a state of decomposition, with facial bloating and mummification in her hands and feet.
What's more, the heater was right next to her corpse...
Him and Wes Anderson notoriously fought like cats and dogs on set, and Hackman was miserable the whole shoot…..which is batshit to me, cause you’d never in a million years guess that from his performance. He comes across like someone having the time of their life in that role, almost with a jazz...
I was hoping someone would make this kind of reply, cause as I wrote those films out I realized there must be a dozen or more movies of his that didn’t get a ton of fan fare that I missed over the years. So this makes for a great list of those to get started on.
Also, I’ve never seen Poseidon...
The Conversation is fucking brilliant too, and is weirdly overlooked a bit in Hackman/Coppola’s filmography’s….its up there with the best of them.
….and I’m with you on Tenenbaums…it’s my personal favourite/most watched movie. Watch it once a year easily, and love it every time.
